Luis Bartolini Esparza
Born in Mexico City, he is a graduate of the law faculty of the Univer- sidad La Salle, where he earned Bachelor’s degree in law. He also has a Bachelor’s degree from the Business Administration and Public Politics ITESM’s school.
He did several courses, including: Corporate Finances (at the Uni- versidad La Salle); Tax Law (at the Universidad La Salle); Internation- al Commercial Arbitration (Escuela Libre de Derecho-International Chamber of Commerce); United States Law (Georgetown University- Universidad Iberoamericana); Bankruptcy Law (Poder Judicial de la Federación-Barra Mexicana, Colegio de Abogados); and the Man- agement Program for Lawyers (Yale University).
He has given courses in Economic Law, Sociology and in the gradu- ate level in Banking and Business Law at the Universidad La Salle and the Universidad Anáhuac and has published articles in various law magazines and journals.
He is a regular speaker of Antena Radio talking about general law topics and sometimes he has participated in MVS Radio and Radio Fórmula exposing specialized real state law aspects.
Professionally, he has worked in a Notary Public’s office, in four financial institutions (Banco Internacional, Banca Serfín, Banco Capital y Banca Quadrum), and between 1996 and 2004, he worked at the Institute for the Protection of Bank Deposits (Fobaproa), where he was promoted to the post of General Counsel of Recovery of Assets.
He participated in some of the most important corporate transactions to occur in Mexico in recent years (the sale of Hoteles Camino Real, the World Trade Center city of Mexico, stake of Bancomer, Scotiabank, footwear Canada, Portfolios sales of various assets of Serfin, Banamex, Bancomer, Santander, Union, Cremi, among others).
He has been a member of the Board of Directors of companies such as CINTRA (owner of Aeroméxico and Mexicana airlines), and he is the former President of the Asociación Mexicana de Abogados Lasallistas, A.C., and a member of the Barra Mexicana de Abogados. Since 2005 he works as an independent lawyer and currently, is founder member of Bartolini, Ramirez and Rodriguez Habeica, S.C. law
